Scholarships
Full scholarship scheme is a performance based scholarship for institutions of higher learning within Nigeria. Its criteria hinges on cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA). The cut-off point is 3.00 and above. This type of scholarship provides the indigenous beneficiary with a particular amount of money that covers his/her tuition fees and learning materials. It is applicable to approved courses in Nigerian Universities (at undergraduate level only), Monotechnics and polytechnics.
Foreign scholarship is for indigenous students whose courses of study are not tenable in Nigerian Universities. This scholarship is open to both undergraduate and post graduate students in selected countries.
The Bursary is for indigenous students studying in various institutions of higher learning within Nigeria. Priority is given to courses that match with manpower needs of the state. Money paid to beneficiaries differs by course of study/discipline. The bursary covers ND, NCE, HND, Undergraduate and post Graduate levels.
This programme carters for students with special needs, disabilities, and gifted children as listed below:
(i) The Internally Displaced Students
(ii) The Girl-Child
(iii) The Physically Challenged
(iv) The Gifted Child
Special scholarship takes care of tuition/school fees, feeding, accommodation, books, other learning materials and transportation. This scheme covers from basic up to the tertiary level of education. It is a local scholarship.
As the name implies, it is a kind of loan scheme fashioned out to help indigenous students studying in Nigerian universities and other specialists’ institutions whose tuition fees and learning materials are costly. The course of study must be among enlisted courses at the ASSTF.
Asstf also provide grants for specific qualifications relevant to the development of Adamawa State. The course of study must be on the list of priority courses.
